Rice County Steam and Gas Engines is an organization dedicated to preserving our past heritage. The past literally comes alive with Steam and Gas Tractors, Thrashers, early tillage equipment, farm animals and so much more!
We are one of the earliest Steam and Gas Associations in Minnesota. Starting in 1974 by Clarence Purdie and Smoky Cross our organization began on private land. Our show grew and grew over the years until we purchased the current property in 1999. Since then we have developed the property till today when it is one of the more dynamic show properties in Minnesota.
Every year we gather on Memorial Day and Labor Day to celebrate our Heritage and bring families and loved ones unforgettable memories! Join Us!
Very nice seeing all the old tractors and equipment. Very interesting
Fun place to go. Kids have fun and parents and grandparents love hearing the laughter.
So much fun for all ages! Tractors, train ride on the tiny railroad track, flea market with a wide variety of crafts. Demonstrations on early 20th century farming.
