Rice County Steam & Gas Engines, Inc.

Announcing web presence

November 14, 2005 -- Rice County Steam & Gas Engines, Inc. has evolved from the original 4 members, C.E. Purdie, S.F. Cross, Fred Berndt and Joe Cross, who started the club in 1975. There are currently over 75 family memberships and 120 individual memberships. We are dedicated to the preservation of old engines, tractors and related farm equipment.

Rice County Gas and Steam Engine and Threshing Show Annual Labor Day Weekend festivities include, but is not limited to the following events:

  • Steam Engines and Antique Tractors   
  • Plowing demonstrations
  • Flea market
  • Auction
  • Blacksmithing
  • Exhibits and Displays
  • Parade of tractors
  • Tractor Pulls
  • Horse-drawn wagon rides
  • Draft Horses & Horse Machinery

Various fundraising events:

  • Omelet breakfast fundraiser
  • Spaghetti supper
  • Annual Meeting

Rice County Steam & Gas Engines, Inc. recently launched a website at www.ricecountysteamandgas.com. Memberships are available for $20 per year (Family) or $15 per year (Individual).
