Rice County steam and gas engines show

The 37th Annual Rice County steam and gas engines show will be open Sept. 2-4 at the showgrounds, three miles south of Northfield on Highway 3. The gates will be open from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Admission buttons are $7 and are good all weekend for every event. Kids 12 and under are free. Among the activities taking place are: a parade of tractors at 12 p.m. daily, hands-on demonstrations for kids, steam and gas engine displays, a 1920s Drentlaw farmhouse, classic car and truck display, draft horses and horse machinery, horse-drawn wagon rides, farm machinery, sawmill, summer kitchen, potato digging, grain threshing, blacksmithing, a kid’s pedal tractor pull on Saturday at 2 p.m., a flea market, a raffle, a tractor pull on Sunday and much more.
