The following information was taken from
facts compiled for the Rice County Steam & Gas Engines, Inc. Club by Mr. Dean
Britton. Edits were made, but the overall content was not changed. Thank you
Dean from all the current and future club members for all your hard work and
devotion to the club. Without Dean's record-keeping, this writing would not be
possible.
2004
- There were
247 tractor exhibits.
- Show was held September 4-5. Admission buttons were $6 good for both days.
- Oliver
was featured tractor. We welcomed the Great Northern Oliver
Collector's Club, who were the main participants.
- Raffle was a 1944 Oliver 60 tractor or $1,500 cash. The tractor was
restored and painted by Roger Caron and Curt Piper with help from other
members. The tractor was won by Glen Pohl of Zumbrota, Minnesota.
- Miss Steamer was Heidi Duban. Princess was Lori Barta.

2005
- There were
several tractor exhibits.
- Show was held September 3 - 4. Admission buttons were $7 good for
both days. This was the first increase in several years.
- Massey Harris/Ferguson was featured tractor. One of main participants at fall show as Massey Harris/Ferguson Collector's.
- Raffle was a 1949 Massey Pony or $1,500 cash. 2nd prize was a Massey Pedal
Tractor from Willie's Toys, LeCenter, 3rd prize - 1/16 scale Massey Collector
toy.
- Consignment auction
- Barta Kid Pedal Pulls
- Model Trains in Township Hall
- Classic cars and trucks on display
- Flea Market
- Exhibitor & Pro Tractor Pull (rescheduled due to rain)
- Clubhouse remodeling: Removed small rooms and opened it up for more usable
space. Club meetings, vendor sales, and displays.
- Addition of more bleachers.
- Bleacher seats were painted.
- Donated granary building was set up as 1920s display.
- Tractor pulling track was upgraded with more clay and grading.
- There were many wonderful donations once again this year.
